Kanes meet the Khans

What the heck? We went to Mongolia and the countryside is beautiful, the locals are incredible neat, resourceful and much like us... the capital city, though should only be a transit point - the city that the USSR forgot.

Tina with the coolest yaks ever!

More cool yaks!

Tina in our Ger Camp.

The camel we corralled.

Jim with his ancient bow.

Jim in Chingis Khan Armor --- I was embarrassed, yes I was.

We named our horses Dick and Bob.

Our neighbor, a Mongolian nomad, Ganduck - he looks 18 years old, but he has a 13 year old son --- the son looked six. His wife made us fresh Goat Yoghurt and it's still rumbling in my belly but actually tasted okay.

Jim and our awesome local wrangler, Dunduck.

Again, UB is ugly!

Ulan Bator is ugly ugly ugly; the countryside is glorious, though!

The saddles are really small; the butts are not THAT large.

Our Wrangler Dunduck in Mongolia, Gun-galuut Steppes to be exact
